Before the Verabschiedung of the uniform European document for the introduction of the European domestic market 1985 the goods traffic of a national market was reglementiert within the European community to another national market within the EEC by restrictions of market entrance. The penetration of a national market was specified by ratios of the interpenetration. In particular by the contracts over the Coal and Steel Community this on the steel market of great importance was.

System theory

In the system theory interpenetration designates a structural coupling of systems, which develop in mutual Ko-evolution, i.e. no system can exist without the other one. Interpenetration gives it e.g. in the relationship of psychological and social systems. Each interpenetrierende system makes the own complexity available with the constitution of the other one.
