In the context of the development of ASP services technical concepts were compiled, it permit to a large number of users, without making for large organizational expenditure possible the access to applications.

For large enterprises there are however reasons, which against the employment publicly accessible ASPs speaks.

These lie in the ranges:

• Security
• Availability
• Individuality

In addition, an appropriate number of internal users presupposed, can in the Intranet, who developed concepts for ASP are used. An illustration of ASP within a firm net is called in analogy to the Intranet Intra ASP.

This term stands in close relationship with Rezentralisierung of IT-infrastructures.
