Isaak Ben Salomon Israeli (* 840/850 in Egypt; "† 940/950 in Kairwan/Tunesien), also Israeli the older one mentioned (Arab Abu Jaqub Is'hak ibn) were an eastern physician and philosopher and first admitted Jewish Neuplatoniker, which admits of the Scholastik under the name in Isaak Judaeus was. It studied natural history, medicine, mathematics and astronomy in Cairo.

Later he than optician attained large admittingness and was a body physician of the last aghlabidischen prince, Zijadat Allah later and with Ubaid Allah aluminium Mahdi, the founder of the dynasty of the Fatimiden.

Beside its medical publications wrote Israeli also philosophical papers, in which he interconnected again-Platonic, aristotelische and Biblical thoughts. Israeli is regarded as a founder of the Jewish Neuplatonismus.
