James G. March (* 1928 in Cleveland, Ohio) is an US-American organization theoretician and professor Emeritus OF management, Higher Education, Political Science and Sociology of the Stanford University of, California.
He was last a professor Of management to the Stanford University Graduate School OF Business. It occurred 1970 of this university, where it taught until 1995.
It is considered as a classical author of the organization research and is one of the outstanding representatives of the behavior-scientific decision theory (behavioral theory OF the firm). In its works it was concerned mainly with decision practice in organizations. It received large attention by its criticism at prevailing thinking principles like the theory of the best choice.
