Dietrich Hoppe (* 24 October 1940 in Thorn, at that time realm gau Danzig Westpreussen, today Poland) is a president of the Federal Medical Society, and the German congress of physicians, at the same time president of the physician chamber north Rhine.

After its medicine study at the University of Cologne from 1960 to 1965 he worked first two years as Medizinalassistent and as Assistenzarzt in the internal medicine and trained themselves further in the fields of activity pathology and general medicine.

Subsequently, he became an upper physician for pathology in Solingen and since May 1982 is he a Chefarzt of the institute for pathology of the of hospital. Besides Professor Hoppe university teacher at Institut for right medicine and as a fee professor at the medical faculty of the university is active to Cologne.

1979 became Professor Hoppe as a successor of Dr. Karsten Vilmar the 1. Chairman of the Marburger of federation selected. It led this office until 1989. Its successor became today still acting Dr. Frank Ulrich Montgomery.
