Job planning (also briefly AV called) are all preparing measures for the economic manufacturing of products. One can divide these tasks in principle in work planning and into job control. Among the work planning all uniquely arising planning measures rank to the Sicherstellung of the economic production of the products. The job control is responsible for all measures, which are necessary for one the work planning corresponding job execution.

Work planning

To the uniquely arising planning measures on a long-term basis the planning of the entire manufacturing and mounting system of an enterprise is to be called. These technical organizational-economical task often also factory planning one names.

To the short term tasks the structure of working documents for the production of products belongs to the work planning. For this count the production of manufacturing parts lists and schedules. Latter activity consists of the planning of the jobs as well as above all the Vorgabezeitermittlung. Also the conception of suitable tooling (devices, tools, measuring instrument, etc.) takes place in this connection frequently. One counts the programming of manufacturing equipment, which is equipped with a CNC control, likewise to the uniquely arising short term tasks of the work planning. Materials requirements result from the manufacturing parts lists as well as from the production program. The material disposition presupposes an exact overview of the available stocks, first over the current stock at the time of planning, then in addition, over the future at the time of order execution available existence. This requirement planning the so-called order bill follows.

For the components manufactured in self-manufacturing now in the context of the scheduling first the unity expensive dates and the completion dates of all product components are determined. With job planning often also the place or department is called, whose field of application is the job planning.

The temporal range of the tasks specified above can be very different depending upon enterprises and/or production method and type of manufacturing. In enterprises of the single and small-batch manufacturing the range of arbeitsplanerischer activities (operational sequence planning, standard time calculation etc.) is multiple prevailing. During quantity production often is the job control determining. Into enterprises with mass production mostly specific machinery are used for production. Here the focal task lies in development, structure and constant optimization of tooling, i.e. within the range factory planning. The production of variant-rich products in series, and/or mass production (e.g. automobile industry) is beyond that mostly connected with large expenditure for the material disposition.
