Job rotation (also: Job rotation) is systematic a change of job and/or job within an organization. Job rotation is used in private enterprises and increasingly also in the public administration.

Takes place this change within a requirement level speaks one also of job enrichment (horizontal restructuring). It concerns activities in differently high requirement levels speaks itself in such a way one of work enriching (vertical restructuring). The job rotation represents thus a combination of job enrichment and work enriching.

With job rotation more highly in each case qualified personnel is needed, than during a pure division of labor. This makes however the activity for the coworkers more interesting and increases the identification with work contents and - aim.
