Johann Albrecht, duke to Mecklenburg (* 8 December 1857 in Schwerin; "† 16 February 1920 in lock Wiligrad with Schwerin) was from 11 April 1897 by 9 April 1901 a regent of the Grand Duchy of Mecklenburg Schwerin, from 1907 to 1913 regent of the duchy Braunschweig and German colonial politician.

Life

Johann Albrecht Ernst Konstantin Friedrich Heinrich became 1857 as a fifth child of the Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II. of Mecklenburg Schwerin (1823-83) and its first Mrs., the princess Auguste Reuss Schleitz (1822-1862), daughter of the prince Heinrich LXIII. Reuss to Schleiz in Schwerin born.

Duke Johann Albrecht was since 6 November 1886 with the princess Elisabeth von Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach (* 1854), who deceased on 10 July 1908. On 1 December 1909 it itself with princess Elisabeth to Stolberg Rossla (* 1885, "† 1965), with which it end of the yearly 1909 a journey after Eastern Asia implemented, of which it on the Siberian course to Germany returned. Both marriages remained childless.

At the age of 62 years Johann Albrecht on the lock Wiligrad in established by it, deceased. He was buried in to bath the Doberan.
