After the theory in the paternal a horn pharmacy in gel living Cassebeer worked as a pharmacy assistant in Mainz, salt whisk, Gandersheim and Berlin, where he particularly dedicated himself to chemistry and Botanik.

He was not only a pharmacist, but became in the year 1814 town councillor and several times honorary mayor von Gelnhausen. In the year 1830 it created a branch pharmacy in Bieber beside the inherited pharmacy in gel living. The pharmacy in gel living was sold together with a profitable white spirit factory after the death of its wife.

Some years was Cassebeer of state parliament delegates of its district in Kassel.

He was buried in Bieber.

Work

Cassebeer was active in many scientific areas and corresponded with numerous renowned nature-vigorous its time. Special services it rendered in the mineralogy and geology. Special attention dedicated the Kryptogamen of the bird mountain, the Wetterau to Cassebeer and the Spessarts.

Its research results published not closed and his scientific deduction is kept only partial. Cassebeer wrote different scientific articles and published a book concerning the development of Laubmoosen. Besides it published 1844 with L. Cassebeer is considered as a joint founder of the 1808 in Hanau in the life called Wetteraui society to natural history.
