Johannes Benjamin fuel corner (* 2 November 1849 in "† 30 July 1931 in Magdeburg) was secret medical advice and physician.

Life

Fuel corner was born as a fifth child of an Evangelist minister. After the attendance of a High School in Stendal it studied medicine starting from 1869 in resounds (Saale). He was a pupil of Robert Olshausen and Heinrich Fritsch.

As a first specialist for woman medicine in Magdeburg it established itself there 1876. 1877 it to the Magdeburger medical society was accepted. After an activity to the Provinzial Hebammenlehranstalt opened it 1880 in Sudenburg, in the today's road of 77 - at that time broad way 31, a private hospital. It operated however also in the bald mountain donation.

It engaged itself for a reformation of the midwife training in Germany, whereby it aimed at an official status for midwives. With its demands for more national commitment in the childbed hygiene it essentially could not succeed however. Dr. med. fuel corner supported also the creation of more geburtshilflichen hospitals. It, as of the woman association, justified an appropriate mechanism in Magdeburg at the Sudenburger gate.

1887 were selected fuel corner into the physician chamber of the province Saxonia. Over many years it was member of the executive committee of the physician chamber, from 1906 to 1908 was it their chairman. 1907 were lent to it the title secret medical advice. Fuel corner was publisher of several technical periodicals.

In the time of the inflation it had to give up its hospital and also 1919 the asylum. Its family became impoverished. gave up it to 1922 its medical activity.

After its death the city Magdeburg it designated a road (fuel hitting a corner race) in honours.
