John James Richard Macleod (* 6 September 1876 in Cluny with Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland; " 16. March 1935 in Aberdeen, Scotland) was a Scottish-Canadian physiologist.
Macleod supplied important work over the sugar illness and the coal hydrate metabolism.
For the discovery insulin it kept 1923 common with Frederick G. Banting the Nobelpreis for physiology or medicine.
