Joseph Edward Murray (* 1 April 1919 in Milford, Massachusetts) is an US-American surgeon.

it received Donnall Thomas the Nobelpreis for physiology or medicine to 1990 together with E. "“for its introduction of the method of the transmission of fabric and organs as clinical treatment practice into the Humanmedizin"”.

Into the 1950er years donated and transplanted he to seienem critically ill brother one of his two kidneys. Those was the first Nierentransplantation of the world. Its brother lebete still many years, got two daughters with one of his former nurses.
