Life

Its father was, just like its grandfather, upper office man in Ludwigsburg. Justinus went to the school into Ludwigsburg and then first in Maulbronn, where its father had been shifted, by scholarship holders of the there monastery school was instructed, then he received instruction in Knittlingen. After the death of his father its nut/mother was to the Justinus still under age as a buyer apprentice into the Kontor of the herzoglichen cloth factory into Ludwigsburg. Kerner did not please the stump-intimate work. It began to write for diverson poems and to maintain the patients of the lunatic asylum accommodated in the same building through plays on its muzzle drum. His former minister and teacher Karl Philipp Conz, in the meantime poet and professor for old languages at the University of interspersed with Kerners nut/mother that the son was allowed to study. From 1804 to its graduation 1808 it studied medicine and natural sciences in

Already at study times it was friendly with Ludwig UHL and and Gustav Schwab, from which the core of the Swabian poet school should develop later, to their namhaftesten representatives Kerner belonged. he became acquainted with 1807 with a celebration from cause by Uhlands birthday his later Mrs. Friederike Ehmann (9 January 1786 - 4 April 1854), by him Rickele mentioned and in many poems perpetuated, which he married 1813. Out of the marriage the daughters Marie went (verh. Riveting hammer; 2. December 1813 - 14 April 1886) and Emma (verh. Gsell; 16. November 1822 - 26 November 1895) as well as the son Theobald (14 June 1817 - 11 August 1907) out. After its study and several journeys he was active starting from 1810 as a physician. Its son, Theobald Kerner, likewise physician and writer, reported on it in its 1894 book the Kernerhaus published and its guests. Also in Munich it had a friend circle.

Its style is described as simple and intimately, whereby in its works both nostalgia and humor and genuine are. Some its poems are very well-known, also as songs, how the richest prince, moving song ("„well-being on! Still drunk the sparkling wine! "“) or the Wanderer in the sawing mill, even if it is often not conscious that it concerns poems Kerners. Later it turned to spiritistischen, okkultistischen and somnambulistischen questions. The latter found its precipitation in the two books (1829 appeared) over the Seherin of Prevorst Friederike Hauffe.

Kerners joy in the grotesque one prove its "„to Klecksographien "“. To this occupation were "„the ink sows pour "“, which fell occasionally on the letters and manuscripts of the poet nearly gone blind. By folding of the paper it produced abstract designs, to which it tried to also give a few additional feather/spring lines a narrative representation from the crushed ink-spots. "„The Hadesbuch arranged by it from Klecksographien "“is received in original in the Schiller Nationalmuseum in Marbach at the Neckar. Swiss Psychoanalytiker Hermann Rorschach used 20 at the beginning. Century such "„designs of "“its patients in after it designated and always disputed Rorschachtest for the regulation of perceptivity, intelligence and emotional characteristics.

From heimatkundlichem interest he endeavored around the preservation of the castle ruin woman-faithfully in wine mountain and wrote themselves 1820 on basis of handwritten sources an essay (1822 as book) over wine mountain in the farmer war, storming the city wine mountain by the bright Christian heaps in the year 1525 and their consequences for this city.
