Karl Heinrich farmer (* 26. September 1890 in village with Mitwitz in Upper Franconia, "† 7. July 1978 in Heidelberg) be a German physician, professor to the university Heidelberg and their first rector to reopening after the second world war. It was likewise member in the German Burschenschaft.

Life

Karl Heinrich farmer studied medicine in attaining, Heidelberg and Munich. Its exams and the graduation for the Dr. of the medicine he put however 1914 down into peppering castle.

To the First World War it went to pathological Institut into Freiburg into mash gau and acquired there knowledge in human genetics. 1923 it acquired its Habilitation in Goettingen. Special achievements

Karl Heinrich farmer was one the founder of the German cancer research center (DKFZ, 1968) in Heidelberg. On its research the modern Onkologie is based. In addition it provided for the modernization of the German emergency service. The development of the Klinomobils, a driving operating room, decreases/goes back to it.

Appreciations

• After Karl Heinrich farmer is designated the medal of the same name, which is lent since 1994 by the German cancer company registered association for special earnings/services in the cancer research.
• Every three years the Karl Heinrich farmer price endowed with 4000 euro is assigned by the German society for surgery.
