Karl Michahelles (* 1807; "† 1834 in Greece) were a German zoologist and physician from Bavaria.

Michahelles bereiste large parts of Dalmatiens and Croatia and was suitable in this time its extensive knowledge over the birds of this area on. It died at the age of 27 years in Greece, where it studied the animal world and as a physician practiced. It described, beside many other Mediterranean birds, the rock nuthatch (Sitta more neumayer).

The Mediterranean sea gull (Larus michahellis) was designated by Christoph Feldegg and Johann Friedrich Naumann after it.
