Kathi is in resounds (Saale) resident enterprise, which manufactures finished baking mixtures. The 90 coworkers obtained thereby in the year 2004 a conversion of 18 millions "€. The enterprise possesses a comparable Bekanntheitsgrad in East Germany such as Dr. Oetker in the west and already developed 1951 as the first German enterprise a baking mixture for a simple sand cake (Oetker: 1970).

History

The Kathi Kurt Thiele kg became to 31. March 1951 based and manufactured at that time soups, Saucen and "„cake flour "“. On 1 April 1972 the owners were finally expropriated like many other still private-economically operated companies in the GDR. The label name remained however further patentrechtlich protected. In February 1992 Rainer Thiele placed a denationalization request. This was approved and is based in such a way on 16 July 1992 the Kathi Rainer Thiele GmbH.
