Kliometrie is a research perspective of the restaurant history, which tries with quantitative methods to win economiceconomics realizations. The term is a composition from the word Clio for the MUSE of the science of history and Metrie, the art of measuring.
Other names for the Kliometrie are new restaurant history (new Economic History) and Historical Economics (historical political economy).
The Kliometrie developed for end of the fifties in the United States, wosie in the process of the sixties a rapid spreading found. In the anglo-saxon area it plays a more important role today in restaurant history. On the European continent it was accepted only in the course of the seventies retarded and is today rather weakly represented until. Robert W. Fogel and Douglas North received the Nobelpreis 1993 for its work to the Kliometrie lent.
