Knibbelbild called the beverage manufacturer Coca-Cola a seal rubber colored printed on on the inside, which left itself from the flaschenverschluss "knibbeln". The first series of milestones of traffic history with 40 motives appeared 1982 in the German-speaking countries.
The marketing idea was supported by collecting poster, on which one could stick the motives. In the following years still some further series appeared, also in other countries. Pepsi copied the idea fast and recruited for its series excursion by America with the Slogan "Knibbel America", from which one can close that knibbeln and/or Knibbelbild are not protected word marks.
The Knibbelbilder replaced by bottle labels, whose backs were printed on for example with the German national soccer team of the EM 1988 or LP-Covern. Today codes for a Internetsite are in the covers.
