Enterprise history

1912 are the year of the foundation of a firm in Stuttgart CAN place. Alfreds knights and Clara marry and open after the wedding the common enterprise in the internal Moltkestrasse in CAN place.

After the removal into the William route 16 a its own is introduced chocolate mark, the "“ALRIKA"” (Alfred knight ability place (CAN place)). 1930 the removal takes place after forest book.

Alfred knight dies 1952, its Mrs. Clara 7 years later, and the son Alfred Otto knight takes over the business. When it dies 1974, an adviser is created, in which first its wife Marta knight transfers the presidency. Since 1990 its sister Marli Hoppe knight holds it. Like that the Alfreds' are knights GmbH & CO. Kg up to the today's day a family business remained.

In December 2005 the managing director Olaf blank was replaced from Alfred Theodor knight, the grandchild of the enterprise founder.

Mark introduction

Ritter's sport chocolate [sic] was introduced in the year 1932 as mark. The idea of the square form came from Alfreds' of knight wife Clara, which wanted to produce a Schokoladentafel, which should fit despite the weight of a normal long board into each sport jacket bag, without breaking.

1974 received then each sort a packing in a certain color. 1982 the knights sport Minis are introduced. 1999 were extended the offer with the knights sport chocolate and the small knights sport 40 g. In addition it gives sport Rum and knight sport to knight.
