KONTIV (continuous collection to the behavior in traffic) is the generic term for a series of inquiries, which are accomplished on behalf the Federal Ministry for traffic, building and housing.

Purpose is the determination of the everyday behavior in traffic of households of the Federal Republic of Germany as basis for the traffic planning and scientific investigations to the mobility. For this in the context of the last collection with the title "“mobility in Germany"” in the year 2002 of approx. 50,000 households as well as 100,000 persons were asked. Further collections took place in the years 1976, 1982 and 1989.
