The Kriminalbiologie is an interdisciplinary field of activity of the Kriminalistik and the biology, which are occupied with biological traces in connection with criminal offences.

Important fields of activity are the forensische anthropology, forensische Entomologie, animal forensics, food forensics, Traumatologie, morphology, u.v.a.

Today the Kriminalbiologie particularly avails itself of the molecular-biological methods like the DNA analysis, e.g. for the production of a genetic finger mark.

By the term Kriminalbiologie can be understood also the investigation of the biological of humans to criminal actions. Behind these old meanings also justifications for crimes hide themselves against the humanity in the third realm.
