Kriminalistik (out Latin accusation, offenses crimen) is the science of the fight of individual criminal offences and the Verbrechertums (the criminality) by preventing (preventive) and punish-pursuing (repressive) measures. It can be divided in Kriminalstrategie, Kriminaltaktik, Kriminaltechnik and Kriminaldienstkunde.
