Labeling by means of "“labelling machines"” means an applying of labels on articles. An important area of application is labeling beverage bottles from glass or plastic. One differentiates between different procedures:

Cold glue labeling

Paper labels are usually stuck together with the help of a water-based glue. Depending upon application are suitable for this Kaseinleime, strength glues or dispersion glues. The most frequent application is in the beverage industry with labeling of multi-path glass bottles or multi-path plastic bottles with trunk neck and/or back labels. Also aluminum neck foils can be applied with this procedure.

Roll Fed labeling

Plastic labels made of OPP foil are completed by a role, cut into individual round around labels and appliziert with an at the beginning of and a final gluing by means of a fusion sticking hot glue on the bottle. Most frequent application: Non-returnable bottles from plastic with round around plastic labels.

Hot glue labeling

Likewise a round around labeling with a fusion sticking hot glue. The labels however not from a role completed, but will become as punched single labels out of a magazine taken. Most frequent application: Cans from tinplate and non-returnable bottles from plastic with round around paper labels.

Self sticking labeling

On a transparency sitting labels are loosened by the 180"° - returning around a donation edge from the transparency and glued on the driving past container. This procedure has a very large spreading in the "“Non Food"” - range and for some years also ever more frequently for high-quality beverage bottles is used. Most frequent application: Kosmetikartikel and Premium non-returnable bottles in the "“NO label Look"”.

Sleeve labeling

A label is pulled from above over the container. One differentiates between "“Shrink Sleeves"”, which afterwards by heat of the container outline to match the contour and "“Stretch Sleeves"”, which are flexibly stretched for applying. Most frequent application for Shrink Sleeves: Outlined one-way container. Most frequent application for Stretch Sleeves: Mineral water returnable bottles from plastic.
