With a so-called laboratory smock it acts around a protective clothing for the work within a laboratory or a mechanism, in which with chemicals one works.

It serves the protection of the clothing and/or the skin portions from various chemicals, in particular before acids, caustic solutions and poisons. The laboratory smock consists mostly of cotton or another with difficulty inflammable and material. Mostly it is white; there is it however also in other colors. Mostly one understands a kneel-long coat, which one can lock with buttons by a laboratory smock only. There are however also remarks in the form of aprons or pair of overalls.
