The Leica Digilux 2 is a high-quality semiprofessionelle digital camera and came at the end of of 2003 on the market. The most outstanding characteristic of this camera is the unusually high quality of the firmly inserted mechanical Leica DC Vario Summicron of zoom. The Retrodesign of the Digilux 2 is unusually user friendly and functional. It sets even new yardsticks with tactile responsing mode. As one of the few points of criticism the Digilux 2 the (electronic) Sucheranzeige had to leave itself fallen, which makes the manual focusing more difficult under bad (one of the virtues of classical Leicas) much.
In in consideration of the high price of 1.500, - " the technical data in the Konkurrenzvergleich work not particularly impressing. But as soon as the photographer holds this camera in the hands and thereby photographed, he appreciates the intuitive operation as well as the high quality relating to crafts of the manufacturing. For this reason the Digilux 2 applies as the first digital camera with quite fulfilled Leica requirement.
The Digilux 2 comes out from a partnership of Leica with Matsushita/Panasonic. It is available in slightly changed execution/finish also under the name Panasonic DMC LC-1 (over approx. 300, - " more favorably).
