With the tightness of its thought world and his on one side military viewpoint he had served neither the interests of the protected area, nor the reputation of the German Reich. Since one made it responsible for the sluggish process of the "Hottentottenkrieges", he - just like the governor Leutwein - fell with the emperor in disgrace. Also the war guidance of the general of Trotha contradicted sharp the tradition of German armed forces. One distinguished v. These will already run away, if twice over them one away-shoots. The troop will remain itself conscious the good reputation of the German soldier. the commander sgd. v. Trotha, lieutenant general.
