Of Louis George Friedrich Stromeyer (* 6. March 1804 in Hanover; "† 15 June 1876 ebenda) was a German surgeon and surgeon general.

Life

After the Abitur it visited first the surgical school in Hanover studied it at the Universities of Goettingen and Berlin (graduation) medicine. It was member of the Corps Hannovera Goettingen. Afterwards foreign stay followed lecturer at the Chrirurgi school to England, France and Switzerland after Hanover was returned it first and created an orthopedic institute. 1832 he became a royally Hannover yard surgeon and received to 1838 a call as a professor of the surgery to the University of attaining. Professuren in Munich, Freiburg, London and Kiel followed.

1847 it became Medizinalrat and 1848 yard advice and Medizinalreferent of the yard court. 1851 general staff physician of the Schleswig Holsteini army. 1854 boss of the Hannover army medical service and 1866 in the German war participation in the victorious, but nevertheless destroying battle with Langensalza.

After the defeat of Hanover it was appointed as the reorganization of the war medical service to Prussia and took 1870 as a "“consultierender surgeon general"” to the IIITH division of the XI. Armeecorps at the battle of Sedan part.
