Maarten Willem Houttuyn (* 1720 Hoorn; "† 1798)

Dr. Maarten Willem Houttuyn was a Netherlands physician and Naturkundler. It studied medicine in suffering. In the year 1753 it resettled to Amsterdam, where it established a publishing house house. Plant names coined/shaped by it often carry as nomenklatorisches publication characteristic the contraction "“Houtt."”
