Mainichi Broadcasting system is the English name for the Japanese radio and television station Mainichi Hoso (Jap.: mostly to MBS shortened. Seat is the architecturally interesting MBS building in Osaka.

MBS was one of the first commercial broadcasting stations and took up its enterprise 1951, at that time still under the name new Japan Broadcasting company. 1956 were taken up in a co-operation with the Asahi Broadcasting company the enterprise of the Osaka Television company. The name Mainichi Broadcasting system one accepted 1958, before one finally began 1959 even with the Fernsehausstrahlung.

By MBS on channel 4 approximately 22 million spectator in the area Kansai are reached. In addition belong Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto and Nara. In addition MBS can reach the spectators by means of Japan news network also country-wide.
