Those Maizena German Maizena mentioned GmbH (later also German Maizena of works AG) was created briefly 1916 in Hamburg. The enterprise was in US-American possession. The enterprise possessed factories in Barby, Hamburg and Krefeld addresses in Germany. To the war the West German Maizena shifted the production from Hamburg to Krefeld. Also in the GDR under the company name Maizena was continued to produce.

Maizena was manufacturer of food as for instance Maizena, moon amine and Weizenin. The product Maizena is from corn won, strength flour, which for binding and thickening soups, released from protein, fat and fibers, Saucen and Desserts is used or Fondues. Contrary to other strength flours such as potato strength it can be cooked longer, without diluting itself again. Also Dextro Energen belonged to the product range.

Maizena is called today cerium star and belongs in the meantime to the Cargill company.
