Malta height is the principal place of the constituency of the same name in the region Hardap in Namibia.

The place is appropriate for about 110 km to the west of Mariental at the tar route C 19 ending here and has approx. 2,400 inhabitants (conditions 2005). Its name comes from the district captain Henning from castle village, which led 1895 a police station of the German colonial administration here and which place designated after his Mrs. Malta.

The small town is center of the Karakulzucht so important for Namibia and serves in the rest of the supply of the surrounding farms. Popular meeting place in the place for the Farmer and those usually only through traveler tourist is the urige bar at the Malta height hotel. Nearby the place the castle Duwisib lies.
