Marie Jean Pierre Flourens (* 13 April 1794 in Maureilhan, " 6 December 1867 in Montgeron) was a French physiologist.
Flourens investigated, among other things by bioassays, the localization of brain achievements. It was long time professor at the de France. Under the influence of Georges Cuvier it became one of the largest science-light opponents of the Phrenologie Franz Joseph Galls.
