Marie Stopes (* 15 October 1880; " 2 October 1958) was a Scottish authoress, Frauenrechtsaktivistin ("Suffragette") and a Pionierin in the range of family planning.
It published the magazine Birth control news. Their activities brought in its protest both from the Church OF England and from the catholic church. Its book Married Love was controversial and influential.
In addition Stopes was a well-known of the Eugenik. She endorsed the sterilization of hereditary patients.
