When markers (v. English markers pen) become pins designation, with which one can emphasize text passages colored (text markers), as well as pins, with which on special surfaces such as foils or Whiteboards one writes.

Text marker (English Highlighter)

After introduction of the felt-tip pen, which was conceived in principle as mark pin for children, it turned out that this was used also frequently in offices for the text marking. In order to facilitate the handling, the text marker, which has a broader point as well as a substantially more compact form, was invented. One used signal colors around the legibility and the re-find in the text to facilitate.

Foil writer

Foil writer one calls pins, which write on undergrounds such as foils or for the use of an overhead projector. This gives it as a writer for indelible marks (permanent) and wipe offable (non permanently).

A CD marker is wipe and water resistant pin, which is particularly for marking CDs and DVDs suitable. The pin does not attack the surface that CD.
