Mediaset is the group of transmitters of the former Italian head of the government Silvio Berlusconi.

The group of media of "“Mediaset"” is embedded into the "“Fininvest"” - getting thing, at which the family Berlusconi holds scarcely 51 per cent. It possesses three supraregional private-television stations: Italia 1, Rete 4 and Canale 5.

History

Mediaset was the first group of transmitters, which radiated a uniform program in completely Italy. Mediaset holds 50 per cent of the portions of the largest Italian book publishing house Mondadori.
