MPR is a guideline for monitors, which was provided by the Swedish office for technical accreditation (SWEDAC). Monitors, which possess this characteristic, keep the recommended standard values for electromagnetic and electrostatic screen radiation. The limit values of this guideline are less strictly than those the TCO cent ral organization, Sweden), which is the direct successor of the MPR-II.

1987 were specified the MPR-I, a standard for radiation-poor screens, and 1990 came then the MPR-II

This standard contains the following writings:

  • 1. Electrostatic field: Maximally 500 V in 50 cm distance from the picture screen surface
  • 2. Electrical field: For volume I (5 cycles per second to 2 kHz) maximally 25 V/meter, for volume II (2 kHz to 400 kHz) maximally 2.5 V/meter (distance like before.)
  • 3. Electromagnetic alternating field: maximally 250 Nanotesla for volume I, maximally 25 Nanotesla for volume II (distance like before - as well as approximately around the screen in three different positions in in each case 30 cm distance).

Large standards contain the TCO of 92 - TCO 03.
