The Musculus infraspinatus (lat.: ) is one of the Schultermuskeln of the upper arm. It is partly covered by the Musculus deltoideus. Together with the Musculus supraspinatus, minor and Musculus subscapularis he forms the Rotatorenmanschette, which holds the head of the Humerus in the Gelenkpfanne for Musculus of teres with humans.
The Musculus infraspinatus is responsible for Abduktion and Adduktion. The major task exists in the external rotation of the arm.
With the four-legged mammals the mobility is limited, like that that here only diffraction and aspect ratio is possible outward clearly in the shoulder joint. Apart from the diffraction in the shoulder joint the Musculus functions infraspinatus as flexible sideband and prevents the lateral avoiding of the shoulder joint.
