The Musculus pectineus (lat.: Comb muscle) is a muscle at the inside of the thigh. It limits the thigh triangle (Trigonum femorale) with animals from the rear. The Musculus pectineus is with the hoof animals, occasionally also with the dog, with which Musculus combines adductor longus.
The muscle bends the hip joint, pulls the thigh to the body center (Adduktion) and helps to turn it outward.
