The military right is a subsection of the public right. It covers the legislation over the position and the employment of the armed forces, the rights and obligations of the soldiers, the military complaint and Wehrdisziplinarrecht, the weir meeting right, the right of the soldier participation as well as over the status and the supply of the soldiers.

The most important legal basis for the military right is in Germany the Basic Law and therein made the changes of 26. March 1954, 19. March 1956 and 24 June 1968.

Further legal bases of the military right are the parliament participation law, the military assigning law, the national service act, the conscription law, the soldier participation law, the military disciplinary regulation, the military complaint regulation, the military penal code as well as the superior regulation.
