The national index of the consumer prices (LIK) measures the price increase of the most important consumer goods (goods and services) for the Swiss private households. To keep taken it the average of the population around also a "“truthful"” value.

The LIK is raised from the Federal Office for statistics.

Composition of the LIK

The LIK of the year 2005 consists as follows:

The taxes, liability insurance as well as the health insurance company premiums are included not with, since it is to concern exclusively "„the private consumption "“. Thus for example the prices of the medicines and not the health insurance company premiums are measured.
