Norman Edward Shumway (* 9 February 1923 in Kalamazoo, Michigan; " 10 February 2006 in Palo Alto, California) was an US-American Kardiologe and surgeon. He was a pioneer of the modern Herztransplantation.
Shumway was a first physician, who transplanted 1968 for the first time successfully in the USA a heart, one year after the first Herztransplantation of Christiaan barn pool of broadcasting corporations.
Shumway was a professor to the Stanford University in California. It died at the consequences of a cancer of the lungs suffering.
