Of Louis ball man (* 19 February 1828 in "† 9 January 1902 in Hanover) was a German physician and Social Democrat.

Of Louis ball man originates from a Jewish family in it worked since 1845 as an accountant in Cologne and operated beside it its self-instruction. 1848 he took part in the revolution in Duesseldorf. 1850-1854 it studied medicine in Bonn and Goettingen, followed the federation of the communists, why it turned out under political observation. After the graduation 1854 ball man established himself in Hanover as physician and In the area of the it was innovative by inventions, publications and lectures. Its activity as a factory physician with the "“mechanical weaving mill"” in Hanover lime trees and in other enterprises of Hanover he had due to the intervention of the hannoverschen general police director Karl George Ludwig Wermuth (1804-1867), the ball man than "“democrats"” stamped, to adjust.

it stood for 1862-1875 in exchange of letters with Karl Marx, with whom it met several times and who visited it also in Hanover.
