Officer deputy is the second highest NCO rank in the Austrian federal army. As badges more broadly and a narrow white strip, additionally three sechsstrahlige white stars are carried. Officer deputies are used as platoon leaders.
In the army of the German empire the utility position "officer deputy" (way of writing with a "s") was created 1887. The officer deputy ranked before the budget-moderate sergeant and behind the second lieutenant and/or sergeant second lieutenant.
To the uniform of the vice-sergeant the shoulder flaps were set in additionally with metallfarbener NCO stresses.
