The German television station UNITY PLUS (1 PLUS) existed of 29. March 1986 by 30 November 1993.

One plus was as culture channel a folder of the first German television pool of broadcasting corporations and would send over cables and satellite with a program schema similarly as with the today's ARTE or 3sat. The transmitter served also as test channel for the European HDTV development "“HD-MAC"”, which made good progress up to the live-transmission of the olympic plays 1992 in Barcelona, then however on pressure the British government no more European Union promotion funds got.

From cost reasons the pool of broadcasting corporations decided to stop UNITY PLUS. Since 1 December 1993 is the pool of broadcasting corporations instead as the fourth broadcasting station in the community transmitter 3sat takes part, its program it together with the Second Channel of German Television, which and Swiss SRG CSSR suisse denies Austrian ORF.

On 23 April 2005 the digital auxiliary channel of the pool of broadcasting corporations EinsMuxx, with which the program was deferred radiated of "“first"”, in unity pluses was renamed. Also the transmission pattern and contents were radically changed. The today's unity plus radiates mainly service and councellor magazines and has together with the transmitter at that time nothing more. The other digital channels of the pool of broadcasting corporations (unity extra and unity festival) kept its names, different Logos and a new appearance received however likewise.
