The OPEL cadet C was a vehicle of the compact class the Adam OPEL AG. He was built as successor of the OPEL cadet B from 1973 to 1979.

The OPEL Chevette was offered from 1980 to 1982 both and sedan with two and four doors and as to diagonal tail variant and combination parallel to the OPEL cadet D as lowest-priced Opel vehicle in Germany. It corresponded to the Vauxhall Chevette with its instrument panel and the front range reminding of the OPEL Manta B. The Vauxhall Chevette was produced still until 1984, while other license reproductions into the second half of the 90's were produced.
Interesting is also the fact that the cadet C town center was used as collecting main for the Corsa A. The OPEL cadet C is the last compact OPEL with rear propulsion and terminated thus a long tradition. Altogether approx. 1.6 million cadet C were produced. Main manufacturing plant was that 1962 particularly for the OPEL cadet A again built work Bochum. However the cadet C was produced also in Antwerp. 1977 found a Facelift instead of (before: "C1", chassis number begins with "3"; afterwards "C 2"; Chassis number begins its changes with "9"), among other things outwardly at the turn signals, which were integrated until August 1977 underneath the bumper attached and afterwards beside the headlights into the fenders to be recognized are. This applies only conditionally to the standard version, which was down produced after the factory holidayses 1977 to 1978 still another one while with turn signals.
The OPEL cadet C was used also in the engine haven. This very day various models become with Youngtimer meetings, like e.g. Slalom, mountain running, uniformity travels etc. assigned.
