The Corsa is of small cars built by general of engine.

In most European countries it is available under the name OPEL Corsa. In England the Corsa A was sold as Vauxhall new facts and the Corsa B and C as Vauxhall Corsa. In Japan it carries the name OPEL Vita, since there is already Toyota with the designation a Corsa there. In Australia the Corsa B and C was offered as Holden Barina. The production of the Holden Barina was stopped in November 2005 in favor of a successor.

Newest Corsa b folder is the Chevrolet "“C2"” - which is produced since 2004.

Chevrolet belonged, exactly like OPELs, to general of engine and it is to be sold therefore possible, the cars on different markets under the name of local marks. Thus the OPEL omega in the USA was e.g. sold as Cadillac Catera.

In Europe it is available excluding as three and/or sedan, in other countries, e.g. in South America, partly gives it to the Corsa B and the Corsa C (usually under the label name Chevrolet) also than notchback, combination and Pick UP.

Corsa A

The Corsa is the first small car of OPEL, it in the year 1982 was introduced. This first model was called late OPEL Corsa A and built first in a general engine work in the Spanish Zaragossa, later additionally with OPELs in iron oh.

In Germany the Corsa was available starting from March 1983 as (notchback, to 4/85 "“TR"” mentioned) and as (Schr¤gheck, Corsa A CC) with 1,0-Liter with 45 HP, 1,2-Liter with 55 HP and 1.3 with 70 HP. Starting from 1985 there were also all variants with 4 and/or 5 doors. In August 1987 the sales of the Corsa notchback was stopped in Germany, although this was continued to produce up to the production end of the Corsa A 1993.

At the force travel Federal Office were with the originally available 1,0, 1.2 - and 1,3-Liter-Motor altogether less than 1,500 vehicles announced 2004 of the notchback versions of the Corsa A. The Corsa Diesel came out 1987 and had a 1,5-Liter engine with 50 HP (OPEL engine identification 4EC1), in the later turbo-execution 67 HP (OPEL engine identification T4EC1). One year later came the Corsa GSI with 1,6-Liter with 98PS than diagonal tail sedan on the market. There were two Facelifts of the Corsa A, whereby the radiator grille and the lamps were modified in each case. Starting from 1990 the GSI 98PS and G-Kat had. The Corsa A became a popular Tuning object. It than Cabriolet or Speedster was partly offered. Well-known companies in this sector are Irm and Lexmaul.Der Corsa A were the first model of OPELs in the small car class; relatively late, after Ford Fiesta since 1976 and the VOLKSWAGEN Polo was already already since 1975 on the market. Besides also those shows up the conversion of the OPEL model pallet of tail to front wheel drive. 1979 were the OPEL cadet D the first compact OPEL with front wheel drive and the know-how and various parts for the OPEL Corsa A "“were recycelt"”.
