As characteristics of the OPEL of Insignia concept the hydropneumatic chassis suspension, the Pantograph mechanism for sliding door-like opening and closing of the rear vehicle doors, as well as the rear flap are worth mentioning and the LED lighting technology.

At the beginning of of 2005 was communicated on the part of the company OPEL the fact that this concept cannot be converted into a quantity production (too heavily, too expensively, too complicates). The OPEL Insignia will remain therefore presumably a pure concept study.
