The OPEL Tigra Twintop is a Cabrio. The vehicle is manufactured in France at the company Heuliez since at the end of of October 2004. It stands from the name in the follow-up of the OPEL Tigra.
The car is a 2-sitziges Cabrio with concealable steel roof, therefore also the name "Twintop ". For the moment (2006) there are the Tigra Twintop with two gasoline and a diesel engine. It is based on the gamma platform of GM: The aggregates, the vehicle basis and the interior equipment originate as far as possible from the Corsa C.
Contrary to other cars with concealable steel roof the roof disappears not completely in the trunk, but rather behind the seats. This has the consequence that also with opened roof a relatively large trunk (250 litres) is available. With closed roof the volume of the trunk amounts to 440 litres. Behind the seats is still another further stowage box, which seizes 70 litres.
