The OPEL Tigra is an automobile of the enterprise OPEL. Thereby a on basis of the Corsa B von Opel concerns. The OPEL Tigra was produced between 1994 and 2000. Two engines were available: 1.4l (90 HP X14XE) and 1.6l (106 HP X16XE).
In the year 1995 as idea carrier without default of a series production a Tigra V6 was designed. This was propelled by a 3.0l six cylinder engine with 210 HP, to which crosswise behind the front seats one inserted. Besides the Tigra on rear propulsion was converted. From its concept the OPEL Speedster was developed later.
The moreover one, however only for Showzwecke, a Tigra Roadster (picture) was sketched.
Since October 2004 there is a new model, the OPEL Tigra Twintop. This has a concealable steel folding roof contrary to the Tigra described here.
