Oskar Vogt (* 6 April 1870 in Husum; "† 31 July 1959 in Freiburg in mash gau) was a German brain researcher.

From 1888 to 1894 Vogt studied psychology and medicine in Kiel and Jena. Following its graduation 1894 it was with Augusts Forel in Zurich.

With Forel Vorgt learned the therapeutic application of the Hypnose. Forel transferred it the editorship of the magazine "“magazine for Hypnotismus"” (starting from 1902: "“Journal for psychology and neurology"”).

October 1894 became Vogt assistant to the Leipziger psychiatric ones and mental hospital of Paul Flechsig. A half year later was already quit among other things Vogt of Flechsig because of the hypnotischen therapy methods.

Vogt created 1902 the neurobiological laboratory of the citizens of Berlin university, which earlier private "“neurobiological central station"”, at whom starting from 1901 also Korbinian Brodmann researched.

From the neurobiological laboratory 1914 the "“institute for emperor William for brain research"” followed. (1931 new building in Berlin book.) Oskar Vogt was from 1930 to 1937 a director, until he became to dismiss from the national socialists. It went with its wife, the French Hirnforscherin Cecile Vogt Mugnier, to new city in the Black Forest, where it led private Institut for brain research and general biology up to its death.

From in the middle of 1925 to in the middle of 1927 Vogt on 30.000 average dissected the brain of Lenin. It stated that there was a amassment of pyramid cells in the third brain cortex layer with Lenin. From this it concluded that Lenin possessed particularly minted association ability and called it a "“Assoziationsathleten"”. This realization was however already at this time very disputed.

After the married couple Vogt is designated the Vogt Vogt syndrome.
